This is a very simple image zoom and pan effect. When you hover the image and move your mouse, the image will zoom in slightly and follow the mouse with a slight delay.
It feels sluggish and almost a bit dreamlike, so I don’t recommend for critical UI use, but rather a mood setting little effect.
Before using
I haven’t used this in production, but I believe this demo is pretty much production ready apart from using some hardcoded values for the panning offsets etc. I’d recommend making those dynamic based on the image size.
